The preschool program is designed to help children have a smooth transition to school and feel as comfortable and confident as possible. In our preschool program, this is achieved through the following outcomes:
Early literacy skills:
Recognizing letters, understanding that print has meaning, listening to stories, identifying sounds (phonemic awareness), and writing and recognizing their names and simple words.
Early math skills:
Recognizing numbers, counting, sorting, identifying shapes, and understanding concepts like “more,” “less,” and “equal.”
Thinking and problem-solving:
Following simple directions, working through challenges, experimenting and testing ideas through play.
Independence:
Putting on shoes, managing a coat, using the toilet without help, opening a lunchbox.
Self-regulation:
Managing emotions, waiting patiently, taking turns, and asking for help appropriately.
Cooperation and communication:
Playing with peers, listening to teachers, participating in group activities, following routines, and resolving simple conflicts with guidance.
Expressing ideas:
Using words and sentences to share needs, feelings, and stories with teachers and peers.
Listening and understanding:
Following directions, engaging in circle time discussions, and responding to questions about stories and activities.
Building vocabulary:
Learning new words through songs, books, and daily conversations.
Fine motor:
Holding a pencil, using scissors safely, drawing shapes, manipulating small objects like beads, buttons, and puzzles.
Gross motor:
Running, jumping, climbing, balancing, kicking balls—building strength, coordination, and confidence.

The preschool program operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
